Set it to Jump to title 1, and make sure Play all titles is unchecked. To do that we need to go back to the button menu, using the same button as on menu 1 (or a different one if your prefer, drag and drop it onto the menu: Now we have to list the titles as we want them in order to be selected individually. Now that is set up, click on menu 2 so that it shows in the main screen: What this does is edits the button so that when selected, it will play the entire list of videos starting from the first title and jumping straight to the next. Double click on the button1 on the menu screen, to open up the Properties for it: Change the Action to Jump to: title 1 if it is not already set up that way and then change the Label to Play All, as shown below. Now we have the videos loaded, lets get them linked up to the menus. Make sure the videos are in the title order that you want them to be. Go back to the File Browser, and navigate to where your video files are:īy pressing shift as you click on each individual video, you can add them all in one go, as shown below: But, before we do that, we have to add the video titles in the first place. First of all, we want to make this button link to menu 2, where we are going to list each video file individually, so where it says Label, lets change that to Select Episode.Īnd well change the buttons action (what it does) to go to menu 2.Īnd when it is clicked on will take you to the 2nd menu page where we will list our titles. When double clicked, it opens up this pane, which lets you edit the buttons Properties. While it is highlighted in red, double click on it. Lets set the "button 2" button up to do what we want first of all. Im picking this one:Īs you can see, the button has been applied to the menu, now leaving that one there for the time being, lets put a second one on the menu: Select the one you want, and simply drag and drop the element onto the main menu to its right. This is the Buttons menu, that you use to add the navigational elements to your menu. Now go to the Click the Buttons menu on the left hand side So now we have two menu pages lets link them together, click on the Project Element Menu 1 Im going to assign another background image to the second menu, but its the done using the exact same method as before. Now we are going to add a second menu page, notice where the Menu is shown in the bottom left hand side? Well, that bottom part represents all of the elements within the project, you can right click anywhere in that area and add a new element, we currently need a new menu, o that is what we will add:Īs you can see, this has created a new menu to the project. So to apply it to the menu as a background image, right click the image, and select Assign to BackgroundĪs you can see below, this has placed that image onto the menu as the background image. Lets find a more suitable one for our project, I took a print screen of mine via VLC media player, its up to you where you find yours, mines under my picture folder, so assuming yours is there (best to just place it there so you can follow the tutorial). This is your blank menu, you can select a background from any of the built in backgrounds that are listed under Backgrounds shown below. Now press OK, and this will bring you to the interfaces main screen shown below: Its always worked well for me, so I have never changed it. Im burning the project to a Single Layer Disc, so im going to leave the capacity at 4.7GB, the video quality I always leave at auto.
Firstly im going to change the Disc Label, to something more in line with my project: This is the first pane you are greeted with when you run DVD Styler, im in the UK, so im going to select PAL as my Video Format, as its an old VHS conversion im putting to DVD, im leaving the aspect at 4:3, as far as im aware 16:9 is for widescreen only. You will be greeted by a window pane where you can create a new project: So here goes, first of all, load up DVD Styler.
#Dvdstyler menu does not work how to
What I will do is show you how to start off with a menu, customise it, load multiple videos and link them up to the menu and set it to play ow you want. I am not going to cover the complexities of the various codecs that can be imported or the audio formats as that info is obtainable elsewhere. Hopefully, this tutorial will get you up to speed.
