A doppelganger that had set her eyes for Albert in the meantime, but while trying to copy Leah's personality, the monster inherits Leah's Order brainwashing, which is the main reason behind her cold behavior. However, the true reason behind her immunity is that Leah was a monster from the very begining! The actual Leah never escaped Polove in time, she was converted into Kurofufu's Sabbath. Anyways, Leah and Albert infiltrate the corrupted city, but Leah seems to show a resistance to monsteriation, reverting back after a couple of seconds. It is never revealed what exactly the Tears do, would still make some good fanfic fuel though. In the present, the Order hires Leah to infiltrate Lescatie because they found out about an anti monster relic called God's Tears that was stashed away by Whilmarina's father before the city got attacked. She had to leave behind her husband, a young man named Albert. So she and her daughters share a deep love for humanity, but she mistakes the human concept of love for the entirety of what it means to be human, making her a threat nonetheless to humans.įirst off all, the cover girl is Leah, a woman who escaped Polove while it was being terraformed by that Dark Matter girl I can't remember and eventually became a mercenary. But since that vision of perfection is based solely on the human concept of love and not other fundamental human ideals, her desire to satisfy humanity's dreams is in fact also eroding what it means to be human. So in essence, the Demon Lord doesn't see herself as destroying humanity, but rather helping humans make their wish for ideal love come true. The sexual vision of perfection that Mamono satisfy is but one of multiple dreams for human ideals, and by ignoring those other factors, she's threatening the true existence of humanity. So while she truthfully loves and admires humanity, she's only seeing it from one angle.

There's our curiosity, our sense of free will/independence, our ambitions, etc. The other shoe, of course, is that while love and pleasure are incredibly important to humans, they're not all that define our humanity. It's a key reason why the current Demon Lord was the first monster we know to really rock the boat, because she was a Succubus, and the necessity of interacting directly with humans exposed her to human values more than other monsters were. Mamono values are aligned around the human vision of perfection in that regard - it's why the monster girls all take on human elements, since they are trying to fulfill the human desire for love. The key to understanding the Demon Lord is that she loves, and strives to embody, a key value of humans: love - everything from romance to lust to pleasure in general. I disagree on that - I feel that the Demon Lord and perhaps even her daughters could qualify as a Beast, because they do love humanity - but only a certain aspect of humans.
